CAM Table Overflow

A switch stores MAC-to-port mappings in its CAM (Content Addressable Memory) table. An attacker floods the switch with frames using thousands of random source MACs, filling the table. Once full, the switch fails open - broadcasting all frames to every port like a hub and exposing all network traffic to the attacker.
